HUNTINGTON PARK : Center Fills Library Gaps for Students

Students can receive after-school help with homework at the Mexican American Health and Educational Services Center from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Because budget constraints have forced libraries to cut their hours, the center offers a place for students to study as well as an opportunity for them to receive tutoring from peers, said Maria M. Vargas, the center’s executive director.
The center is at 2502 Clarendon Ave.
