Man Dies in Santa Ana Drive-By Shooting

SANTA ANA — An 18-year-old man died Thursday night in a drive-by shooting, which was being investigated as gang-related, police said.
The victim, whose name was not released pending notification of relatives, was standing in the 500 block of West Washington Avenue about 8 p.m. when he was shot in the back of the head and the chest by someone in a passing car, Lt. Dave Petko said.
He was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he died half an hour later, Petko said.
