Alan Joy Moscov; Chief Aide to Pat Brown

Alan Jay Moscov, 64, chief assistant to former California Gov. Edmund G. (Pat) Brown Sr. Educated at Yale Law School, Moscov served as clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Harold H. Burton, was general counsel to the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, and taught law at Stanford. In 1960, Brown appointed Moscov assistant to the governor, a Cabinet rank he held for three years. On Tuesday in Long Beach of a heart attack.
