CALABASAS : Volunteers Needed for Halloween Fest
- Share via
Calabasas officials are looking for about 20 volunteers to help set up decorations, judge costumes and supervise games at the city’s first-ever Halloween carnival.
The Oct. 31 event at Grape Arbor Park, on Canwood Street at Parkville Road, will include bobbing for apples, a pumpkin-coloring contest and traditional carnival fare such as the ring toss. The festival will be held between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
The Halloween event is expected to draw smaller crowds than the Calabasas Pumpkin Festival, which will be held the weekend of Oct. 23-24 at Paramount Ranch in Agoura, said Heather Canniff, Calabasas’ recreation assistant.
“The Halloween carnival is really a local thing,” Canniff said. “It’s convenient for the people of Saratoga Hills, but we’ll get some people from all over Calabasas.”
