COLLEGE ROUNDUP : UCI Second in Grand Canyon Golf Tournament

UC Irvine finished second, one stroke behind Northwestern (La.) State in the Grand Canyon University golf tournament Tuesday in Casa Grande, Ariz. The Anteaters, who finished with a three-round total of 880, led by four entering the final round.

Bryan Schroeder, Kevin Yamauchi and Paul Calabrase each finished in seventh place, at three-over-par 219.

In nonconference men’s soccer:

Chapman 3, Loyola Marymount 2--Eric Hurtarte, Armando Orizaba and Fernando Loza scored for Chapman (8-2-3).

Pacific Christian 3, UC Riverside 3 (OT)--Ryan Bean scored two second-half goals to send the game into overtime.
