The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between Oct. 4 and Oct 10:
Glendale
Justin Avenue, 600 block--Thieves cut a hole in a fence to steal construction equipment valued at $1,800 from a business in a theft discovered Oct. 4.
North Belmont Street, 100 block--Possibly entering through an open window, thieves stole jewelry and camera equipment, valued together at $1,490, from a residence between 7:20 a.m. and 5:40 p.m. Oct. 4.
East Glenoaks Boulevard, 1800 block--Claiming he was the landlord’s cousin, a thief entered a tenant’s home and stole $1,000 at 4:15 p.m. Oct. 4.
North Allen Avenue, 1200 block--Thieves entered a residence through a kitchen window and stole stereo equipment, valued at $14,635, between 2 and 7:45 p.m. Oct. 5.
Calle Canta, 900 block--Two thieves waited in a car until a man walked by, then brandished guns and stole cash and a phone, valued together at $5,450, at 10:25 p.m. Oct. 5.
Watson Street, 2000 block--Entering through a master bedroom window, thieves stole jewelry and other household items, valued together at $5,500, between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Oct. 6.
South Glendale Avenue, 1000 block--Thieves faked sickness and gained an elderly woman’s trust to get her to withdraw and give them $5,000 at 10 a.m. Oct. 7.
Irving Avenue, 1500 block--Thieves entered through a back door, stole a gun, jewelry, and stereo and video equipment, valued together at $6,090, between 11 a.m. and 12:55 p.m. Oct. 7.
Glendale Galleria--A thief who asked to be shown some diamond rings, valued together at $48,300, grabbed them and ran at 10:12 a.m. Oct. 8.
East Colorado Street, 1300 block--Thieves pried open a door to steal pizza-making equipment valued at more than $26,000 from a restaurant Oct. 9 or 10.
Brand Boulevard and Lomita Avenue--Thieves with a gun stole a wallet containing $10 from a man at 3:20 a.m. Oct. 10.
Central Avenue and Randolph Street--A woman’s purse, containing $60, was stolen off her shoulder by a thief on a bicycle at 9:45 p.m. Oct. 10.
La Canada Flintridge
Foothill Boulevard, 1000 block--Thieves pried open a metal frame door and two cash registers to steal $500 from a store Oct. 6 or 7.
Foothill Boulevard, 900 block--Thieves entered a restaurant and pried open a cash register drawer, stealing $100 Oct. 6 or 7.
La Crescenta
Sanborn Street, 2700 block--Thieves stole video game equipment valued at $465 from a bedroom between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4.
Atwater Village
Fletcher Drive and San Fernando Road--Thieves dragged a motorist out of a car, kicked and punched the person, then entered the car and drove off at 5:30 a.m. Oct. 6.
Los Feliz Boulevard, 3100 block--After tearing a hole in the rear wall of a business, thieves stole clothing and sporting goods, valued together at $1,400, Oct. 8 or 9.
Eagle Rock
Las Colinas Avenue, 2300 block--A man discovered that tools valued at $3,065 were missing from his rear yard on Oct. 4.
Rangeview Avenue, 5000 block--Thieves forced a man into his home at gunpoint, tied him up and stole $1,320 and his car at 6:30 a.m. Oct. 7.
Avenue, 5800 block--Opening an unlocked rear window, thieves stole video equipment and jewelry valued together at $1,750 from a residence between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Oct. 7.
Echo Park
Duane Street, 2100 block--Thieves stole tools and other property valued together at $2,886 from a residential back yard Oct. 6 or 7.
Glassell Park
Meadowvale Avenue, 2300 block--Thieves pried open a residential front door, then ransacked a bedroom and stole computer equipment, valued at $2,500, between 11 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. Oct. 6.
Fletcher Drive, 3400 block--Thieves removed sporting goods valued at $1,700 from a residential yard Oct. 6 or 7.
Arthur Street, 2300 block--Six thieves with guns searched a man and stole $20 from him at 10:30 p.m. Oct. 8.
West Avenue 28, 600 block--Thieves ransacked a living room and stole a TV and video equipment, valued together at $1,800, between 6 and 9:40 p.m. Oct. 9.
Highland Park
Monte Vista Street and Avenue 53--Thieves with a gun pointed it at a man’s head as they stole his wallet containing $300 at 1:20 a.m. Oct. 4.
Avenue 64 and Figueroa Street--A thief with a knife shoved a person off a bicycle valued at $225 and took it at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 5.
York Boulevard, 6500 block--Thieves with guns entered a business and stole coins and computer equipment valued together at $2,865 from a vending machine at 7 p.m. Oct. 5.
South Avenue 52, 100 block--Thieves hit a man repeatedly with their fists, then stole his wallet containing $37 at 7:20 a.m. Oct. 6.
Avenue 52, 300 block--Thieves entered a residence through an open side window and stole video equipment and jewelry, valued together at $1,210, between 10 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. Oct. 8
North Figueroa Street, 5800 block--A thief stole a cigarette case containing $64 from a woman at 1 p.m. Oct. 9.
North Figueroa Street, 5500 block--Thieves pried open a business’ security gate and stole a TV and telephone equipment, valued together at $1,106, Oct. 9 or 10.
Los Feliz
Fountain Avenue, 4900 block--Thieves with a sawed-off shotgun entered a market and stole $440 at 1:50 p.m. Oct. 4.
Talmadge Street, 1700 block--Thieves pried open a rear sliding-glass door and stole $1,500 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:50 p.m. Oct. 5.
Boulevard, 4200 block--Thieves entered a business and asked for a drink of water, then pulled a gun and stole cash and jewelry, valued at $5,575, at 2:15 p.m. Oct. 5.
Russell Avenue, 4400 block--Thieves entered a residence under renovation and stole tools and household goods, valued together at $1,150, between 1 and 3 a.m. Oct. 7.
Avenue, 4300 block--After removing a rear window screen and louvers, thieves ransacked bedrooms and closets, stealing cash and a gun, valued together at $1,900, between 12:50 and 2:15 p.m. Oct. 7.
Fountain Avenue and Edgemont Street--A thief with a gun stole $10 and credit cards from a man at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 7.
Hillhurst and Melbourne avenues--Approaching a woman from behind, a thief grabbed her purse containing cash and a gun, valued together at $2,950, at 12:40 p.m. Oct. 9.
Mt. Washington
Pasadena Avenue, 3800 block--Thieves cut the bars off the rear window of a garment factory and stole industrial equipment, valued at $6,000, Oct. 7 or 8.
West Avenue 45, 200 block--After forcing open the side window of a residence, thieves ransacked every room, ate food from the kitchen and stole clothing and food, valued together at $1,250, between 6:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Oct. 9.
Silver Lake
Silverlake Boulevard, 1400 block--Thieves stole cash and a gun, valued together at $1,770, from a residence between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Oct. 4.
West Sunset Boulevard, 2600 block--Possibly using screwdrivers, thieves pried open the lock on a fast-food restaurant’s door and stole a TV and video equipment, valued together at $4,880, Oct. 4 or 5.
