Westlake 48, Royal 14--Playing only the first half, quarterback Kevin Crook completed nine of 12 passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns as Westlake (4-1-1, 2-0-1) built a 41-0 halftime lead at Thousand Oaks High.
The tone was set when Westlake’s Billy Miller partially blocked a Royal punt, giving the Warriors their first possession at the Royal 37. Four plays later, Jeremy Bunn scored the first of his two touchdowns on a nine-yard run.
Quarterback Wes Lagotta threw two second-half touchdown passes for Royal (3-3, 1-2).
