As a Bit of Trivia, He Doesn’t Come Up Short

Sideline banter: Esperanza baseball Coach Mike Curran was waxing nostalgic during the Aztecs’ football game Oct. 8.
“I played football for St. Paul,” he told Aztec basketball Coach Mark Hill. “I walked down the tunnel at the Coliseum. In fact, I’m the answer to a trivia question.”
“What’s that?” Hill asked. “The shortest guy ever to walk down the tunnel at the Coliseum?”
Curran froze.
Actually, he claims to be the only person to play in Southern Section championship football and baseball games and coach in section championship football and baseball games.
