Cypress Seeks Applicants for Appeals Board

CYPRESS — People knowledgeable about land use, development and financing are being sought to serve on Cypress’ new five-member Relocation Appeals Board.
Applicants need not be Cypress residents to be appointed to the board, which will review complaints on redevelopment issues made by residents, tenants or business owners and also make recommendations for action to the Redevelopment Agency Board of Directors.
Experience with real estate, finance, banking or related management professions is preferred. Applicants cannot live in the city’s redevelopment project areas.
Because Cypress has a Redevelopment Agency, the city is required by the state to have such a board, city officials said.
Applications are available at City Hall in the Personnel Office and will be accepted through Oct. 29.
