Peter J. Oeth of Corona del Mar this week was named manager of the Tri-Cities Municipal Water District, the wholesale water agency that supplies water to the city of San Clemente and a portion of Dana Point.
Oeth, chairman of Arbor Consultants of Corona del Mar, will take over Nov. 1 from Ray Woodside of the Barrett Consulting Group, who has served for 21 years as both the manager and engineer for the 33-year-old district.
Woodside, who will work with Oeth during a two-month transition period, will be retiring at the end of this year, according to a report issued by the district.
A contract has not yet been signed by Oeth, but a district official said he will probably earn between $72,000 and $84,000 a year for what is considered a part-time position. He will work between 100 and 120 hours a month, the official said.
