Wahlco Environmental Systems Posts Third-Quarter Loss

Wahlco Environmental Systems Inc., the Santa Ana manufacturer of air pollution control and power efficiency equipment, said it lost $1.8 million, or 10 cents a share, for the third quarter.

That contrasted with a loss of $3.2 million, or 18 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue declined 22% to $17.5 million from $22.3 million.

The company also reported a loss for the year to date: $1.4 million, or 8 cents a share, contrasted with a loss of $7.9 million, or 45 cents a share, for the comparable 1992 period. Nine-month revenue was down 3% to $62.4 million from $64.5 million.
