A charity golf tournament will be held Saturday at the Cypress Golf Club to raise funds to help developmentally disabled adults become self-reliant.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Project Independence, a nonprofit organization that helps the developmentally disabled get job training and support in learning to live independently.
The tournament is being sponsored by Ingram Micro, a wholesale distributor of microcomputer products based in Santa Ana.
Tournament officials said 130 players will compete in the charity event and they expect to raise between $7,000 and $10,000.
