Volunteers Sought for Cleanup Day
Volunteers are needed to help Simi Valley residents dump their old refrigerators, furniture, tires and other unwieldy waste at the Neighborhood Councils’ Fall Clean-Up.
Hoping to ease long waits by residents eager to unload their refuse, the city of Simi Valley is seeking extra volunteers to help at the collection site.
The free dumping day is set for Nov. 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Royal Avenue between Tapo Canyon Road and Voyager Avenue.
Paint, insecticides, oil, batteries and other hazardous wastes will not be accepted.
For volunteer information, call Randi Joseph, Neighborhood Council coordinator, Department of Environmental Services at 583-6756.
