An Ojai woman has been sentenced to 2 1/2 years in federal prison for robbing a Bank of America branch in Ventura last June.
Susanne Angele Malloy, 37, also was ordered to pay $622 in restitution to the bank branch on East Main Street. After serving the sentence, Malloy will be on supervised release for three years, U.S. District Judge Consuelo B. Marshall ruled Tuesday.
Malloy was arrested hours after the June 11 robbery when police spotted her in the getaway car in Oak View, according to the Los Angeles office of the FBI.
Malloy was indicted on bank robbery charges by a federal grand jury in Los Angeles on June 29. She pleaded guilty to a bank robbery charge in August.
