In the Cavalier Classic:
Edison 84, Fullerton 33--Sophomore forward Marie Philman had her second consecutive 40-point game, matching her career high of 42 points and adding 17 rebounds, as Edison (8-2) advanced to the final against El Modena at 8 tonight. Nadia Hoerner scored 16 points for Fullerton (5-6).
El Modena 49, Sonora 34--Jamie Shine had 25 points, 21 in the second half, and 17 rebounds for El Modena (4-6), which led by three at the half before pulling away. Aiyanna Nash scored 23 for Sonora (1-9). El Modena is 4-6.

In the Laguna Beach tournament:
Santa Ynez 55, Laguna Hills 36--Tayyiba Haneef scored 11 points as Laguna Hills lost the title game to the defending Southern Section Division IV champions. Romy Christensen and Tamara Inoue were named to the all-tournament team for Laguna Hills (2-5).
Orange Lutheran 60, Laguna Beach 46--Kristen Weddick had 22 points to lead Orange Lutheran (6-5) in the third-place game.

In the Costa Mesa tournament:
Woodbridge 47, San Clemente 33--Angela Burgess had 11 points and 12 rebounds and Melanie Pearson had nine points and 11 rebounds for Woodbridge (10-0) in a semifinal. San Clemente’s leading scorer, Michelle Macintyre, was held to five points and one field goal.
