THOUSAND OAKS : Businesses Sought for Student Program
- Share via
The Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce is looking for local business people willing to let a high school student spend the day with them on the job as part of a program designed to help students choose a future career.
Student Shadowing Day is expected to become an annual event, said Michal Orenstein, a career counselor helping to organize the May 17 event.
“I’m looking for as many businesses to get involved as possible,” Orenstein said. “The more, the merrier.”
Selected Thousand Oaks students will be paired with hosts who work in career fields that the teen-agers have expressed an interest in pursuing after graduation, Orenstein said. For more information or to sign up, call 499-1993.
