For Cops’ Sake, Ban Assault Weapons

Los Angeles has had more than its share of murders, rapes, robberies and mayhem. Now these thugs are targeting police officers.

How sad for all of us that Officer Christy Lynne Hamilton was cut down attempting to serve and protect the community.

Permitting civilians to purchase assault weapons is not acceptable and must be stopped immediately.

The time has come (I hope it is not too late) for all of us to call out to our public officials to stop this wholesale bloodshed. The victims, their families and loved ones must bear the pain and suffering throughout their lives, while the killers and thugs receive minimum sentences, if any.

I recommend that we all wear black armbands or a strip of black on our clothes in memory of all those victims and their loved ones. We must grieve for all of them and do the right thing.
