Gov. Pete Wilson Friday called a special election for May 3 to fill the vacancy created in the 43rd Assembly District--much of Burbank and Glendale--when former Assemblyman Pat Nolan pleaded guilty to corruption and resigned. If needed, a runoff would be held June 28.
