This bright, colorful volume celebrates the artwork created to advertise the Disney shorts and features. As the illustrations were not done by the animators, it’s interesting to observe the differences in the way the characters are drawn. The chapters on Mickey, Donald and Goofy reveal how the look of those popular icons changed over the decades. Fanning’s cheerful, superficial survey will delight Disney fans and Disneyana collectors.
