Green Containers Just for Trimmings

The Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation is asking all city residents who use yard trimming collection services to only put grass, leaves and tree trimmings in their green garbage containers.
Separate yard-trimming collection allows the material to be turned into compost instead of ending up in landfills. The compost is sold in Fedco stores as TOPGRO, “L.A.’s Own Compost.”
Residents with earthquake debris can call (213) 847-8811 for collection.
