Palomar Wins Golden West Title

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Palomar beat Long Beach City, 3-2, in the title game of the Golden West Invitational softball tournament Sunday.
Long Beach advanced through the losers’ bracket. After losing to Palomar, 3-1, in the morning, Long Beach beat Central Arizona, 5-1, and Palomar, 5-1, to force the final.
Rancho Santiago finished in a tie for fifth with Mt. San Antonio.
