Eight Indicted in Home Invasions

SANTA ANA — Eight men arrested last month in connection with a series of armed home-invasion robberies in Anaheim and San Bernardino have been indicted on a variety of related charges, Orange County Dist. Atty. Michael R. Capizzi said Friday.
Police said the men were arrested Feb. 1 as they were posing as police officers and attempting a home-invasion robbery in San Bernardino.
The 13-count indictment--involving charges of conspiracy, attempted robbery, false imprisonment by violence and possession of a firearm by a felon--stems from six home-invasion robberies in Anaheim, Capizzi said.
Among those indicted are three from Anaheim: Armando Sanchez Buelna, 21; Manuel Flores Valenzuela, 33, and Eduardo Leon, 17. Also indicted were Giovani Guadelupe Zavalza, 21, of Los Angeles; Roman Cisneros Aguilar, 23, of San Bernardino; Felipe Bravo Garcia, 24, of Hemet; Faustino Amezquito Romero, 34, unknown address, and Mario Serrano Salina, 24, unknown address.
