Frances Guenette; TV Executive, Production Company Co-Founder

Frances Guenette, 59, co-founder with her husband of Robert Guenette Productions. A native of Vienna, Mrs. Guenette immigrated to New York as a child. After studying at the University of Michigan, she began working for CBS’ “Studio One.” She eventually became an associate producer and created “Conquest,” “Odyssey,” “Appointment With Destiny” and “Eye on the World.” In 1975, she became a principal in Guenette-Asselin Productions in Los Angeles and later helped establish Robert Guenette Productions, in which she served as vice president. The company’s work included “Children of the Night” for CBS, “Extra Dimension” for Group W and “Counterattack: Crime in America” for ABC. Since 1990, Mrs. Guenette had served as president of the Los Angeles Opera Assn. support group. On Monday in Beverly Hills of ovarian cancer.
