Delia, Titans Win Big West Titles

Cal State Fullerton’s Celeste Delia won the overall title at the Big West Conference women’s gymnastics championships, leading the Titans to the team title Sunday at the Events Center in San Jose.

The Titans won the team title with 190.50 points. Utah State (190.45) was second and UC Santa Barbara (189.05) third.

The overall victory for Delia, a senior from Covina Northview High School, was her third consecutive. She was also selected the Big West Conference’s gymnast of the year for the third year in a row.

With the victory, the Titans advance to Western regional as the No. 3-seeded team. The regional is April 9 at Boise State.
