MONTEBELLO : Tighter Policy Sought on School Visitors
- Share via
Montebello school officials are proposing to tighten campus security by requiring outsiders to get permission from an administrator whenever they visit district schools.
The new policy regulating visitor access to 27 schools in the Montebello Unified School District is to be discussed next Thursday at a school board meeting. The proposed policy would require all school visitors to sign in at the school principal’s office. Violators of the policy would be turned away.
Faustino Ledesma, director of pupil and community services, said the policy would help school officials maintain greater campus security and prevent unauthorized visits.
