John Haeckel Named Carter Hawley Hale CFO: Haeckel, 35, who was also named executive vice president, has been, in effect, the Los Angeles-based retailer’s acting chief financial officer for six months, a company spokesman said. The post has been officially vacant since last year. Haeckel, 35, was a general partner at the investment firm Chilmark Partners, which he joined in 1984. He started his association with Carter Hawley Hale while still at Chilmark. Carter Hawley Hale Stores Inc. operates The Broadway, Emporium and Weinstocks department stores.
