UnionFed Financial Corp.: The Brea parent company of Union Federal Bank reported a loss of $5.3 million, or 20 cents a share, for its third fiscal quarter, which ended March 31. That compared to a loss of $8.9 million, or $11.97 a share, for the same period a year earlier. For the first nine months of its fiscal year, the company lost $16.6 million, or 90 cents a share, compared to a loss of $20.6 million, or $27.70 a share, for the previous nine-month period. The company did not release a figure on assets for the latest quarter.
