Staying With Kids Is a Powerful Move

I thoroughly disagree with Margaret Echevarria’s letter saying that staying home with children is “the single most disempowering decision women make” (April 12).
As a career woman who is taking off five years to stay at home, I can tell you, it is very empowering to take control of my life and the lives of my young children.
