CAMARILLO, OXNARD : Arrival Times for Trains Pushed Up
- Share via
One of two Metrolink evening trains that has stops in Camarillo and Oxnard will be moved up about half an hour because surveys show that riders want the train to arrive earlier, officials said.
Train No. 109, which stops in Camarillo at 7:02 p.m. and Oxnard at 7:14 p.m., will be replaced by Train No. 107, which will leave downtown Los Angeles at 5:07 p.m. That train will stop in Camarillo at 6:33 p.m. and Oxnard at 6:46 p.m. The schedule will change beginning Monday.
Surveys conducted this month showed that riders overwhelmingly opted for the earlier times, officials said.
Train No. 105, which arrives in Camarillo at 5:46 p.m. and Oxnard at 6 p.m., will continue with no changes. It leaves downtown Los Angeles at 4:25 p.m.
There will be no changes in the arrival times for Moorpark and Simi Valley trains.
The Metrolink station in Camarillo opened in February, and the Oxnard station opened earlier this month. Both stations operate two round-trip trains to Los Angeles daily. They were added after the Jan. 17 earthquake to help ease congestion on commuter-clogged freeways.
