EAST VALLEY : Public to Hear Plans for Hansen Dam

Los Angeles City Councilman Richard Alarcon is hosting a series of public meetings in the east San Fernando Valley on the future plans for the Hansen Dam as a recreational area.
The second of the five hearings, for residents of Sylmar and Mission Hills, will be held today at the Sylmar Recreation Center, 13109 Borden Ave., in Sylmar.
A meeting for Pacoima residents will take place Wednesday at the David M. Gonzales Recreational Center, 10945 Herrick Ave., in Pacoima.
The hearing for Sun Valley and North Hollywood residents is scheduled for the Sun Valley Recreation Center, 8133 Vineland Ave., in Sun Valley.
The final meeting, for Arleta, Van Nuys, North Hills and Panorama City residents, will take place at the Beachy Avenue School, 9757 Beachy Ave., Arleta.
All meetings begin at 7 p.m.
