Creative interpretations of patriotism and the meaning of America will be on display in “Stars & Stripes: An Exhibition of the American Flag” at the Pacific Design Center’s Murray Feldman Gallery beginning June 14.
Hundreds of objects will show interpretations of the flag’s design and meaning as well as its relationship to art, politics and history. Displays include a can of Old Glory-brand asparagus, a flag made from more than 2,800 red, white and blue pencils and an 1865 hand-stitched wool flag banner.
The exhibit ends July 30. The Pacific Design Center is at 8687 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles.
