Student’s Lawsuit Claims Teacher Pushed Him Down

MISSION VIEJO — A Trabuco Hills High School student sued the Saddleback Valley Unified School District on Friday and accused a teacher of pushing him against a cabinet and wall.
Jason Michael Keefer and his guardian, Kathleen Delano, are seeking unspecified damages against the school district. The teacher as well as the school’s principal are listed as co-defendants.
Keefer claims that in January, the teacher approached him while in a classroom and demanded that he turn over a pair of dice. When Keefer said he didn’t have any dice, the teacher pushed him against a cabinet and counter, causing the student to fall to the floor, according to the lawsuit.
The teacher also pulled Keefer’s hair and demanded that he empty his pockets, the lawsuit stated.
District officials could not reached for comment Friday evening.
