Pacific Fitness Corp. Appoints President-CEO

* Howard K. Cooper has been appointed president and chief executive of Pacific Fitness Corp. in Cypress, a manufacturer of health club and home fitness equipment. Cooper has served as chief executive at Cardiac Science Inc., Trimedyne Inc., Pacesetter Systems and AilTech, a division of Eaton Corp. He takes over as head of the company from Norm Richards and Ted Habing, who founded the company in a Huntington Beach garage in 1986. Richards is executive vice president of research, design and engineering for the company; Habing is executive vice president of sales and marketing.
