In other Division II water polo:
Costa Mesa 31, Pacifica 3--Ryan Dandy had six goals and teammate Robert Grayeli added five to lead Costa Mesa (23-5) in the blowout. Costa Mesa will play Marina in a quarterfinals Wednesday.
Los Alamitos 12, El Dorado 7--Eric Ploessel scored five goals, Tim Campbell scored three goals and Charles Brodsky recorded 12 saves to lead visiting Los Alamitos (19-9). Los Alamitos will face Servite in the second round.
Marina 17, Buena Park 9--Stever O’Rourke had five goals and Lance Banuk and Erik Larson added four goals each to lead Marina (17-11). Darin Smith had 17 saves for Marina, which will meet Costa Mesa on Wednesday in a quarterfinal game.
Servite 20, Troy 14--Brian Heifferon had the bulk of Servite’s goals with nine and Jerry Smith had eight goals and five assists. Servite (18-7) will play Los Alamitos in second-round play Wednesday.
Tustin 13, Katella 2--Ryan Hoff and Jim Lowe each scored three goals to lead host Tustin (17-10). Dave Shaddy and James Patterson each scored one goal and Jon Fabbro had four for Katella (18-9). Tustin will face La Habra in the second round at a site to be determined.
University 19, Los Amigos 6--Dan Hayes scored five goals, Mark Sullivan added four and Chris Norberg recorded six saves to lead visiting University (19-9). University will face Esperanza at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Irvine Heritage Park.
In Division VI water polo:
Brea-Olinda 20, Clairmont Webb 2--Tad Murphy scored six goals to become host Brea-Olinda’s all-time leading goal scorer. Murphy has 114 goals this season.
