CalArts Music School Presents Free Concerts in Santa Clarita

A number of free concerts is scheduled next week on the California Institute of the Arts campus in Santa Clarita starting Monday.
The School of Music will present programs on five nights at 8 in the Roy O. Disney Music Hall beginning with a composer’s recital, “The Chuck and Dave Show: Random Orangutan Massacres,” by Charles Morogiello and David Dvorin on Monday.
A graduate composer recital, “No Looking Back,” by Mark Doiel, is set for Wednesday evening followed by a master of fine arts mid-residence percussion recital by Greg Diamond on Thursday.
An MFA mid-residence percussion recital by Mika Noda is scheduled for Friday and an MFA graduation recital by Yin-Hui Chen will be held on Saturday.
Every Tuesday at noon, “Chamber Music Concert,” consisting of student-faculty collaborations, is presented in the Main Gallery.
“Jazz at Noon,” student-faculty concerts, is held Wednesdays at noon in the L-Shaped Gallery.
