BOYS’ SOCCER ROUNDUP : Harvard Breaks Away for 4-2 Victory

Harvard-Westlake High’s Warren Davidoff scored the go-ahead goal on a breakaway midway through the first half and the Wolverines went on to a 4-2 victory over Alemany in a Mission League match Friday.
The Wolverines are 10-4-2, 2-2 in league play.
John McDonald scored the Indians’ first goal on a free kick from 20 yards.
Antelope Valley 2, Littlerock 1--Scott Svoboda and Vahn Armstrong scored in the first half for the Antelopes (1-4 in league play) in a Golden League match at Littlerock.
Forward George Medina scored for the Lobos on a penalty kick midway through the second half.
Chatsworth 1, Taft 0--Freshman Guy Klein made seven saves and recorded his first shutout for the Chancellors (9-2-3, 4-1-1) in a Northwest Valley Conference victory at Chatsworth.
Trevor Schmidt scored in the second half on an assist from Michael Preiss.
Calabasas 4, Santa Clara 1--Adam Cooper scored all four goals as the host Coyotes (10-1, 3-0) rolled to their ninth consecutive victory in a Frontier League match.
Viewpoint 7, Lelycee 0--Sophomore sweeper Justin Campbell scored three goals for the Patriots at Viewpoint.
St. Francis 3, Chaminade 2--Eric Johnson scored an unassisted goal with five minutes remaining to break a 2-2 tie in a Mission League match at Chaminade.
Johnson finished with two goals and Shunta Shimizu added one for the Golden Knights.
Hart 1, Canyon 0--Mike Barton scored for the Indians (5-10-1, 2-4) on a penalty kick midway through the second half in a Foothill League match at Hart.
Canyon (1-8-1, 1-2-1) managed only three shots on goal.
Village Christian 0, Maranatha 0--Leon Reoyo had seven saves as the Crusaders (5-5-1, 1-1-1) battled the Alpha League-leading Minutemen (2-0-1 in league play) to a draw at Village Christian.
Santa Paula 2, Moorpark 2--Cardinal fullback Carlos Herrejon scored with 15 minutes left to force a Frontier League tie at Moorpark.
Florencio Amezcua put the Musketeers (9-5-4, 1-1-1) ahead early in the second half.
Burroughs Ridgecrest 2, Highland 0--Mike Conrad scored twice for the Burros in a Golden League match at Highland.
Royal 3, Newbury Park 0--Tim Pedersen scored twice for the Highlanders (14-4-2, 5-1) in a Marmonte League match.
Cleveland 1, San Fernando 1--Ricardo Rivas scored with 10 minutes left to give the Tigers a Northwest Valley Conference tie.
Notre Dame 3, Crespi 0--Steve Lee scored twice in the second half for the Knights (8-5, 4-1) in a Mission League match.
