Pomona--Warts and All
As a property owner and manager in Pomona, we know our town well--its spirit, its warts, its beauty marks and its grit, as well as its gritty side.
“325 Dreams Shattered by Plant Closing” (Dec. 19) is not a business report, but a diatribe against an older city with some inner-city problems.
The role of the California business climate--environmental regulations, the state of California not remitting bottle deposits--speaks to the real reasons for this plant’s demise, rather than “gritty” Pomona. This would be the business thing to do, not the trashing of a city.
