LA HABRA : Art Teacher a Finalist for Prestigious Award

La Habra High School art teacher Ellen Gumucio is one of 10 finalists for the prestigious BRAVO Awards, sponsored by the Music Center of Los Angeles County.
The BRAVO Award recognizes teaching excellence in the visual and performing arts, based on evaluation of classroom performance, including site visits by a panel of judges.
A 15-year Placentia resident, Gumucio is one of 88 teachers in Southern California nominated by their schools and districts for the award and is the only BRAVO finalist from Orange County.
Gumucio, a teacher for six years, has worked at La Habra High School since 1991.
