Can you name Kevin Costner’s first movie? Who was the costume designer on “Speed”? What was Tom Cruise’s character’s name in “Risky Business”?
You can find answers to these questions and thousands more for free by using Internet e-mail. It’s all there on the Movie Database, courtesy of volunteers from the IBM Users Group of the United Kingdom.
The database is so comprehensive you’d be hard-pressed to stump it. It contains more than 335,000 pieces of information on more than 29,000 films.
You can search for facts about actors, directors, producers, writers, composers, cinematographers, editors, production designers and costume designers.
The database can also field questions on character names, movie ratings, year of release, plot summaries, quotes, goofs, soundtracks and Academy Award information.
