Murder Charge Filed in Killing

VAN NUYS — Prosecutors Monday filed a murder charge against a Winnetka man who claimed he accidentally shot his live-in girlfriend in the head.
Vincent John Cueto, 27, told neighbors last week he had shot and killed Karin Margareta Bryttegard, Los Angeles Police Detective Rick Swanston said.
But he told detectives two or three different stories about how the shooting occurred and had been telling neighbors for days that he might shoot her, Swanston said. He said the two had been having relationship and financial problems.
