Through Jan Breslauer’s well-researched article “The Magical World of Mr. Lee” (April 2), we are allowed to understand theatrical designer Ming Cho Lee’s unique artistry and success in this somewhat esoteric field of art.
It is important to note that Lee has been at the top of his field long before the existence of the “labels” of “multiculturalism” and “affirmative action.” His varied career has gone beyond his own cultural background, which is exactly what the theatrical designer is trained to do.
