Obituaries : * Richard J. Leuck Sr.; 33-Year Oxnard Resident

Longtime Ventura County resident and retired U.S. Navy veteran Richard J. Leuck Sr. has died after a lengthy illness. He was 64.
Born in Neola, Iowa, in 1930, Leuck lived in Oxnard for 33 years with his wife Vickie. They were married for 42 years and raised six children, five daughters and one son.
A senior chief petty officer, Leuck served 30 years in the Navy. He served in Korea and Vietnam, and most recently worked at the Seabee base in Port Hueneme until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, daughters Deborah Anson, Margaret Doherty, Catherine Armistead, Patricia Leuck, Monica Leuck and son Richard Leuck Jr. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Conrad-Carroll Mortuary in Oxnard.
