Hooray to the Orange County Fire Authority, pilot Andy Campbell, Animal Control and to all of Buckwheat’s rescuers.
To Pebbles, the Shetland pony who sounded the alarm.
To Ken Sisco and family (Buckwheat’s owners) who care for the four-legged senior citizen. . . . and The Times for printing the story.

In regard to your article “Ever See a Horse Fly,” in view of Orange County’s bankruptcy, Ken Cisco, the owner of Buckwheat should be billed for the cost of using one helicopter and two firetrucks and their crews plus the services of 11 county animal control officers who spent four hours rescuing his animal.
I’ll bet (County CEO William J.) Popejoy would concur with me on this matter.
