Sheriff’s deputies in the Antelope Valley on Monday released this sketch of a man suspected of raping an 11-year-old Palmdale girl earlier this month after offering to drive her home. The man was driving a black mid-1970s model Datsun 260Z with a maroon interior. He coaxed the girl into his car near a service station at 30th Street East and Palmdale Boulevard at 11:45 p.m. April 14 and assaulted her a short distance away, saying he would hit her with a hammer if she resisted, Sheriff’s Investigator Fred McNutt said. The suspect was described as a black man, age 20 to 30, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 180 pounds, wearing a short black ponytail held together with three gold rings. Anyone with information on the suspect was asked to call the Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Station at (805) 948-8466.
