Dreis, from Laguna Hills High, came to Orange Coast last year but did not compete, concentrating instead on school work. This season, she returned to the pool and has enjoyed great success. She won three events last Friday as Orange Coast beat Cypress and San Diego Mesa in the final Orange Empire Conference meet of the season. Dreis already has qualified for the State meet in the 500- and the 200-yard freestyle and the 100 butterfly.

* Golden West, freshman. Despite being unseeded, Turner advanced to the final of the Orange Empire Conference singles tournament.
