MISSION VIEJO : Photocopy Fees Axed by College Trustees
- Share via
Trustees of the Saddleback Community College District have voted to end student fees for photocopied course materials.
Student government leaders had contended that the fees were illegal and penalized students already hard-pressed to pay enrollment costs and buy textbooks.
The duplication fees were charged for materials such as supplemental booklets required for some courses.
Although the district will lose about $400,000 in revenue over the next two semesters because of the decision, made Monday, charging the fees was a “policy that really does need review,” Chancellor Robert A. Lombardi said.
