BASEBALL ROUNDUP : Glenn Sparks Buena Park’s Victory

Ryan Glenn went four for five, including his third home run of the season, and led Buena Park to a 15-13 upset of first-place Sunny Hills in a Freeway League baseball game Friday.
Greg Cabral had three hits for Buena Park (8-9-1, 4-6-1). Sunny Hills dropped to 16-6, 7-4.
In another Freeway League game:
La Habra 6, Fullerton 5--The Highlanders rallied from a 5-3 deficit, scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh.
In the Century League:
Canyon 7, El Modena 2--Eric Valent set a school record with 10 consecutive hits for No. 7 Canyon (17-4, 9-2).
Valent was three for four and hit his seventh home run of the season.
Santa Ana Valley 4, Orange 2--Jorge Gonzalez had seven strikeouts, seven walks and picked three runners off base for Santa Ana Valley (10-11, 4-7).
Villa Park 6, Foothill 2--Randy Case went three for four with a home run, a double and a run batted in and one run scored and Steve Hendren (6-3) finished with 10 strikeouts for Villa Park (11-11, 4-7).
In the Garden Grove League:
La Quinta 7, Garden Grove 0--Pitcher Craig Jones went the distance allowing only four hits in the game for La Quinta, which clinches the Garden Grove League championship. Pacifica 7, Santiago 0--Junior Chris Reidel (5-0) pitched his second consecutive shutout for Pacifica (12-9, 6-3).
In the Pacific Coast League:
Estancia 5, Aliso Niguel 4--Joe Herman’s ground-rule double to right drove in Abel Flores with the winning run for Estancia (10-10, 5-6). Tony Nguyen went three for four with a home run for Aliso Niguel (12-7, 7-4).
Laguna Hills 4, Costa Mesa 3--Charlie Noble scored on a bases-loaded error in the bottom of the seventh. Sophomore Justin Stanfield (4-0) gave up one run in four innings of relief for the Hawks (12-9, 7-4).
University 12, Laguna Beach 6--Tim Blackburn went four for five for University (12-10, 7-4).
In the Sea View League:
Irvine 5, El Toro 4--Shaun Wooley’s two-out single in the bottom of the sixth inning drove in pinch-runner Chris Kim and Matt Ward improved to 10-2 for eighth-ranked Irvine (16-5, 10-1). El Toro is 10-12, 4-7.
Santa Margarita 3, Corona del Mar 0--Ryan Reightley (7-1) pitched a four-hitter and Michael Penney’s two-out, two-run single in the fourth helped Santa Margarita (14-7, 9-2) to the victory.
In the South Coast League:
Mater Dei 3, Capistrano Valley 2--Jason Saenz (3-0) pitched a four-hitter, striking out eight and walking two for second-ranked Mater Dei (19-4, 6-2). Sophomore Rik Currier struck out 11 and Adam Petke hit a two-run home run in the first for the Cougars.
In the Sunset League:
Marina 6, Huntington Beach 2--Tommy Powell gave third-ranked Marina (17-4, 8-3) the lead for good with a two-run single in the sixth inning and Justin Lynch pitched a complete game.
