FULLERTON — Cal State Fullerton dropped out of the top spot in all three college baseball polls after losing three of five games last week.
The Titans (41-9) fell to second in the Baseball America poll and to fourth in Collegiate Baseball and USA Today. Florida State (38-9) took over the No. 1 position in each.
Baseball America has Auburn (42-6) third and Clemson (33-11) fourth. Both teams are ahead of the Titans in the other rankings.
Fullerton lost twice to seventh-ranked Wichita State but won two of three games in Big West Conference play over the weekend at Nevada. The Titans have a two-game lead over Long Beach State in the Big West race going into their final regular-season series this weekend at home against New Mexico State.
The four-team Big West postseason tournament is set for May 12-14 at Blair Field in Long Beach.
