Nancy Mills’ article “Queenliest Member of Parliament” (Calendar, June 24) referred to British MP Glenda Jackson’s “conference room in what was once old Scotland Yard.”
This building was in fact New Scotland Yard. Built in 1890, it replaced the old Metropolitan Police headquarters located in Whitehall Place. The present Scotland Yard, opened in 1967, is now in Broadway, London SW1.
