DOWNTOWN : Collette to Lead Library Music Series

A performance by jazz great Buddy Collette and a conversation with author Lynell George will be featured in a free series of concerts and discussions offered at the Central Library.
The Sunday series offers musical performance, ranging from jazz to opera, followed by a discussion of a music-related topic in the library’s Mark Taper Auditorium. Musical guests include singer/songwriter Tish Hinojosa, the Los Angeles Music Center Opera and the Southwest String Quartet.
Collette begins the series at 2 p.m. on July 23. The series runs through Oct. 8.
